  • User Experience Mastermind

    You have a passion for building highly interactive, browser and mobile based user interfaces that are on the cutting edge of web and mobile application design.

    You want to make users happy, and get the analytics to prove it. You design on experience or gut, and then iterate based on data.

    You have a passion for conversion and funnels, and driving user engagement.

    You will utilize wireframes, html-mockups and pictures on napkins to drive the vision of our mobile, web and backoffice applications.

    You understand the different needs of businesses and users.

    You can work collaboratively with both management and engineering. Side by side

    You will be responsible for the design of all the Tello products. Mobile (iPhone, Android, HTML5), user facing web, and back office. And probably more. You should be comfortable creating an overall design and experience for Tello's users. You should be comfortable creating multimedia assets as needed, from icons to buttons to backgrounds. You know and love Google analytics (or similar) and will be responsible for measuring the success of your designs. You will be working side by side with the CTO and CEO to drive the product. You will be working side by side with the engineers to bring your vision to life. You have a strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly produce pixel-perfect UI prototypes.

    • Previous experience designing large consumer websites
    • Previous experience designing mobile experiences would be lovely
    • XHTML/CSS/JavaScript abilities would rock our world
    • Understanding of cross browser incompatibilities
    • Analytical approach to design
    • Illustrator/Photoshop skills
    • Enthusiasm to help guide how the product should be built and should evolve
    • Previous start-up experience

    You can build anything. Given the time.

    You've built complex systems. Simply.

    Your responsibilities? Everything! M and C of MVC. And probably some V. Database. Setting up EC2. Search engines. Integration with 3rd party API's like Facebook and Twitter. Optimization and profiling. JavaScript libraries. You will be writing the guts of our code (it's in Ruby on Rails).

    You will be working in an agile manner, including short iterations, comprehensive testing, emergent design, and frequent releases.

    This list is a guide that should show we want someone who is capable of taking on many things, not a list of requirements.

    You will be reporting to and working side by side with the CTO on all things technical.

    You will be working with everyone in the company on all things product. This is your chance to help shape the future of our product and have a meaningful impact on the success of the company.

    • Expert Ruby on Rails/Python/Java or some language

    You are a Ninja when it comes to JS/Ajax development.

    You are not afraid to build well formed html and advanced CSS structures.

    You are interested in mobile web app development with new cutting edge JS/html5 frameworks such as Sensa Touch and you care about cross phone portability.

    You can get your hands into the C and the V of the MVC rails code to help control UI/REST API flows and work with more back end oriented engineers.
